Repair Workshop Bench Technician

About the role

Join Motorola Solutions' International Repairs team as a Repair Workshop Bench Technician, providing depot‑level service for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) equipment across Australia and New Zealand. You will ensure high‑quality repairs, timely turn‑around, and customer satisfaction while supporting a critical communications network.

Key responsibilities

• Test, diagnose and repair LMR subscriber radios and related communications equipment.
• Manage change processes including codeplug documentation, Radio Manager server and application updates, encryption handling, and firmware lifecycle.
• Perform new radio programming and ensure repair turn‑around targets are met.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of quality procedures and 5S workplace standards.
• Provide training and support to colleagues and contractors on new products and updates.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the Repair Engineering team as required.

Required profile

• Diploma of Engineering/Electronics or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of electronic repair, maintenance and alignment techniques.
• Understanding of quality assurance processes and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer‑focused attitude.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and specialised radio programming tools.
