Remote Area General Practitioner – Jabiru & Gunbalanya, NT

About the role

Join a regional Aboriginal health service as a General Practitioner delivering primary health care to Indigenous communities in Jabiru and Gunbalanya, NT. You will work in a supportive multidisciplinary team and help shape new health services in remote settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary health care to over 1,000 residents across the West Arnhem region.
• Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals and community workers to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
• Develop and implement new service models tailored to remote Indigenous populations.
• Participate in on‑call and emergency care as required.
• Contribute to clinical supervision and mentorship of junior staff where applicable.

Required profile

• Specialist GP registration with AHPRA.
• Fellow of RACGP or ACRRM.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Broad primary‑care experience in rural or remote settings, preferably Indigenous health.
• Cultural awareness of remote Indigenous communities.
• GP supervisor accreditation or experience (desirable).

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and diagnosis.
• Patient management and care planning.
