Rehabilitation Consultant - Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Osteopath

About the role

IPAR, a national occupational rehabilitation provider within the MedHealth network, is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant in Melbourne with a professional background in physiotherapy, exercise physiology or osteopathy. The role sits in the occupational rehabilitation sector within a tight-knit, multidisciplinary team. New graduates are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Manage caseloads, supported by Rehabilitation Assistants who handle administrative tasks
• Help people with injury or health conditions achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals and insurers to share clinical updates and align rehabilitation goals
• Work across schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare and the Department of Veterans' Affairs
• Prepare timely, high-quality reports with findings, recommendations and clinical reasoning

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in physiotherapy, exercise physiology or osteopathy
• Full professional registration with AHPRA or full ESSA EP accreditation
• Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded but not essential
• Compassion, kindness and empathy
• Current driver's licence and access to a car with comprehensive insurance (a must)
