About the role
Our client, an occupational health services provider in Port Hedland, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality pre‑employment, occupational health and periodic health assessments for workers in the mining, resources and industrial sectors. The role involves providing thorough, professional and accurate assessments while supporting candidates and clients with care and respect.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct pre‑employment medical examinations and health history screenings.
- Perform vision, musculoskeletal, fitness, audiometry, spirometry, and ECG assessments as required.
- Collect urine samples for drug and alcohol screening and blood samples when needed.
- Carry out hearing protection device and respiratory protection fit testing.
- Prepare accurate reports, summaries and referrals.
- Collaborate with doctors, booking teams and quality‑control staff.
- Support medical results quality control and follow‑up on pending results.
Required profile
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Current First Aid, CPR and a valid driver’s licence.
- Full Australian working rights and ability to provide a police clearance.
- Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance with attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and stay organised.
Required skills
- Occupational health assessment experience (preferred).
- Clinical nursing skills for conducting medical examinations.
- Proficiency in using medical testing equipment (vision, audiometry, spirometry, ECG).
- Accurate documentation and reporting.
