Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

About the role

Join the 30‑bed Intensive Care Unit at Sydney Adventist Hospital and deliver advanced acute nursing care to patients with complex, critical needs. You will work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment supporting the Emergency Department, operating theatres and medical/surgical wards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to ICU patients, including monitoring, medication administration and emergency interventions.
• Collaborate closely with doctors, allied health professionals and the nursing team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist the Emergency Department, 20 operating theatres and surrounding wards with critical care support.
• Participate in continuous learning and professional development under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Clinical Nurse Educators.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 3 years post‑registration experience in a critical‑care setting.
• Post‑graduate qualification or enrolment in Critical Care/Intensive Care Nursing (desirable).
• Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Full Australian working rights.
