Production Engineer

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Production Engineer to apply advanced manufacturing and quality engineering techniques on its eye‑care product lines. The role will focus on failure analysis, process capability, instrument calibration, test stability and statistical process control, working closely with cross‑functional teams to drive yield, quality and throughput improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Apply statistical analysis (SPC, MSA/GR&R) to monitor, control and improve manufacturing processes.
• Implement and continuously improve process control systems to ensure stable, repeatable production.
• Perform capacity and throughput analysis, identify bottlenecks and support production planning.
• Participate in daily production stand‑up meetings, communicating priorities, status and risks.
• Escalate safety, quality, delivery or capacity issues to appropriate stakeholders.

Required profile

• Develop a broad understanding of Alcon products, technologies and their applications.
• Assist in meeting product objectives set by Engineering, Production, Quality, Regulatory and Marketing.
• Collaborate across disciplines to transition products from development to mass production.
• Analyse new and existing engineering technologies and apply them to product testing.
