Procurement Manager

About the role

JLE Manufacturing & Hire is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead purchasing activities across its manufacturing, project and operational functions. Based in Newcastle, you will ensure the right goods and services are sourced cost‑effectively, supporting project margins and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
• Forecast purchasing needs based on project and operational demand.
• Source, evaluate and onboard suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including RFQs, tenders and purchase orders.
• Monitor contract performance, variations and procurement spend.
• Support budgeting and financial planning.
• Collaborate closely with project, finance, manufacturing and operations teams.

Required profile

• 7‑12 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Background in electrical manufacturing, construction, electrical or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
• Financial accountability with attention to detail.
• Experience with procurement systems and reporting tools.
