Primary Teacher – Year 6/Prep (Full‑time)

About the role

Taranganba State School, a large Prep‑Year 6 campus on Queensland’s Capricorn Coast, is looking for enthusiastic primary teachers to join its permanent full‑time team. The role will involve teaching Year 6 and Prep classes, delivering the curriculum and contributing to a supportive, restorative learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 6 and Prep students in line with the Australian Curriculum.
• Utilise the school’s digital learning hub and performing arts centre to enhance student learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share expertise and develop interdisciplinary projects.
• Apply restorative practices to promote positive behaviour, empathy and student engagement.
• Participate in professional development and school community activities.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification (Bachelor of Education or equivalent).
• Full or provisional Queensland Certified Teacher (QCT) registration.
• Australian work rights or a valid visa.
• Pre‑service and graduate teachers are welcome to apply, providing practicum reports, mentor statements and unofficial transcripts.
