Pharmacist In Charge (Retail Pharmacy)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Pharmacist In Charge to lead our Benalla store within Australia’s largest retail pharmacy group. You will ensure compliance with national pharmacy standards while delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow and store procedures.
• Manage the dispensary operations, including inventory and NHS claims.
• Supervise and develop all pharmacy staff, including interns and student pharmacists.
• Dispense prescriptions using MyScripts and verify scripts prepared by junior staff.
• Provide medication counselling and maintain high accuracy in dispensing.
• Collaborate with the Managing Partner on business decisions.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Proven experience managing a pharmacy.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a dedicated work ethic.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MyScripts dispensing software.
