Pharmacist – Clinical Trials & Rotational Role

About the role
This position offers a dynamic opportunity to deliver specialised pharmacy services for clinical trials and SAS (Special Access Scheme) medicines within a leading tertiary hospital. You will work across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance, safety and high‑quality patient care while rotating through broader departmental responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver pharmacy services for clinical trials and SAS medicines.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, TGA and protocol requirements.
- Manage inventory, dispensing, documentation and maintain audit readiness.
- Support trial set‑up, monitoring and stakeholder engagement.
- Supervise, mentor and guide junior pharmacy staff.
- Contribute to quality improvement programs and departmental initiatives.
Required profile
- Pharmacy qualification (Bachelor or Master of Pharmacy) from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Full, unrestricted pharmacist registration with AHPRA.
- Meet Grade 2 classification under the NSW Health Employees Pharmacists Award.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison at all organisational levels.
- Extensive experience managing clinical trials or research in a hospital setting.
- Strong therapeutic knowledge and ability to apply pharmaceutical principles in trial management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required skills
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance.
- Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) regulatory knowledge.
- Clinical trial pharmacy operations.
- SAS medicines management.
- Inventory management and dispensing.
- Documentation and audit readiness.
