Personal Care Assistant (CORINDA) - Contract

About the role

St Vincent's Care Corinda is looking for a Living Support Partner (Personal Care Assistant) to work as an effective household member in a specific resident household. You will provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living, partnering with residents to support their daily routine, lifestyle and choices so they feel safe, valued, respected and engaged. The position is supervised.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assistance to residents with all activities of daily living
• Support residents' daily routine, lifestyle and choices
• Work as an effective household member, supervised, in a specific household
• Assist and support residents' wellbeing through professional, caring and efficient execution of duties

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or similar qualification (essential)
• 6 months' experience in a similar role; residential aged care experience (dementia experience) highly regarded
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC); NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required
• Ability to work the stated roster (Week 1: Mon Tue Fri Sat Sun 14:30-20:30, 14:30-22:30, 06:30-14:30, 14:30-22:30; Week 2: Mon Tue Fri Sun 14:30-20:30, 14:30-20:30, 06:30-14:30, 14:30-22:30)

Required skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience with AutumnCare (or similar software) and ability to keep excellent records
• Understanding of aged care, resident rights and responsibilities, and ability to follow the care plan
