Part‑time Remote Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist

About the role

This part‑time, fully remote position focuses on protecting the health and safety of employees and the environment. The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist will work closely with teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and to promote a safe workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with local, national and industry safety regulations.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve health‑ and safety protocols.
• Design and deliver effective safety training sessions for staff.
• Identify, assess and mitigate occupational and environmental health risks.
• Collaborate with managers to address workplace safety concerns and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven knowledge of EHS practices, regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Experience in health & safety or occupational health management, preferably in construction, manufacturing or similar sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH are a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities suitable for part‑time remote work.

Required skills

• Familiarity with risk‑assessment methodologies and associated software tools.
