Part‑time Hybrid Software Engineer – Brisbane

About the role

This part‑time, hybrid position based in Brisbane, QLD, involves designing, developing and maintaining software solutions that support pharmacy operations. You will work both on‑site and remotely, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure and reliable internal tools, web services and system integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable code for back‑end services and APIs.
• Develop and enhance internal tools and integrations with existing pharmacy systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Document technical specifications and support testing and deployment processes.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing on‑site and remote tasks.
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with back‑end web development, RESTful APIs and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Version control using Git and collaborative development workflows.
