Part-Time Oral Health Therapist / Dental Hygienist

About the role

A well-established boutique dental practice is looking for a confident Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist for a part-time position. Working 1-2 weekdays per week, you will manage a hygiene-focused caseload in a two-chair setup, with no weekend work, so you can keep your existing commitments while delivering quality preventative dentistry.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine dental examinations and professional cleans within your scope of practice
• Perform scaling, polishing and periodontal maintenance
• Provide preventative treatments and personalised oral hygiene guidance
• Identify oral health concerns and support treatment planning
• Deliver basic restorative treatments where applicable to your qualifications
• Build patient trust through clear communication and collaborate with the wider dental team

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist
• Strong clinical skills in preventative and periodontal care
• Ability to manage routine hygiene appointments independently
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Commitment to high clinical standards and continuing professional development
• Collaborative mindset and passion for oral health

What we offer

• $55-$70 per hour, depending on experience
