Oral Health Therapist (Casual)

About the role

A growing dental practice, expanding from two to four chairs, is looking for an experienced or motivated Oral Health Therapist (OHT) to join its team on a casual basis. The role is flexible, with 2 to 5 days per week available from Monday to Sunday depending on your availability, and you manage your own appointments with the support of a dedicated Dental Assistant.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive oral health examinations and routine check-ups
• Perform professional teeth cleaning, scaling and preventative treatments
• Provide oral hygiene education and tailored preventative care
• Build positive, long-term relationships with patients
• Manage appointments independently while maintaining high clinical standards
• Work collaboratively with the wider dental team

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Oral Health Therapy
• Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions
• Dentists with general dentistry experience will also be considered, with pay reflecting experience
• Confidence performing check-ups, cleans and preventative treatments independently
• Excellent communication and patient management skills
• Friendly, professional and patient-focused approach
• Flexible availability, including weekends, and able to start as soon as possible
