Network Support Officer

About the role

The Network Support Officer will maintain and optimise the school’s Information Technology network to support both educational and administrative activities. Working within the Department of Education’s asset management and security framework, you will ensure data integrity and reliable network performance for staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot the school’s network infrastructure.
• Implement and uphold data security strategies in line with departmental regulations.
• Resolve hardware, software and network‑related issues in collaboration with Department of Education ICT support.
• Document network configurations, incidents and corrective actions.
• Support end‑users across the college with timely technical assistance.

Required profile

• Experience in network support or administration within an educational or similar environment.
• Understanding of data security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external ICT support services.
• Flexibility to cover permanent or fixed‑term, full‑time or part‑time positions.
