Mid-Level Full Stack Developer

About the role

Beyond is looking for a motivated Mid-Level Full Stack Developer to join its lean engineering team. You will work on technology that drives outcomes for clients in Western Australia’s mining sector and Aboriginal‑owned organisations, contributing across the entire product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full‑stack features using React and Next.js on the frontend and scalable Node.js services on the backend.
• Integrate and manage authentication flows with Auth0, including SSO, role‑based access control, and token management.
• Own and improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud infrastructure on Linode (Akamai Cloud).
• Drive security best practices across the stack, from secure authentication to infrastructure hardening and vulnerability management.
• Profile, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks at both application and infrastructure levels.
• Write clean, well‑tested, and well‑documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and proactively address technical debt.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Comfortable moving between frontend and backend without needing extensive guidance.
• Clear communicator who accepts feedback and cares about end‑users.

Required skills

• React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Node.js, Next.js (SSR, SSG, API routes)
• Auth0 or comparable identity platform
• Cloud deployment on Linode, Akamai, AWS, GCP or Azure
• Cloudflare services (tunnels, DNS, WAF, DDoS protection)
• RESTful APIs
• SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
• Web fundamentals (HTTP, security best practices, responsive design)
• OWASP and secure coding practices
• Git version control
• Docker, Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines and monitoring/observability (nice to have)
