About the role
The Media and Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of high‑quality corporate communications, education, and outreach initiatives for ChemCentre, Western Australia’s premier chemistry and forensic science agency. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with senior leadership, you will shape communication strategies that enhance stakeholder engagement and protect the organisation’s reputation.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement communication and marketing strategies aligned with organisational objectives and compliance requirements.
- Produce clear, accurate, and engaging content for diverse audiences across multiple channels.
- Plan and deliver education and outreach events, ensuring high standards of quality and impact.
- Manage media relations, including coordination with the Minister’s Office, government briefings, and responses to Parliamentary questions.
- Oversee quality assurance of complex media assets and communication materials.
Required profile
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
- Experience working in a government or public‑sector environment is advantageous.
