Maintenance Technician

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join its Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at the Jandakot site near Perth. You will keep the warehouse operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling, automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment.
• Implement long‑term solutions to reduce future downtime.
• Use specialised tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
• Follow and promote Health & Safety standards.

Required profile

• Formal Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with a current electrical trade licence, or Certificate III in Engineering, or Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Equivalent Australian‑recognised qualifications are also acceptable.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
• Proven fault‑finding ability on material handling and automation equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Experience maintaining conveyors, motor controllers and inverters.
• Commitment to working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations.
