Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day maintenance activities in a fast‑paced waste processing and resource recovery plant. The role combines hands‑on technical work with leadership, ensuring equipment runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance operations on the plant floor.
• Drive preventative maintenance programmes and manage CMMS data.
• Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting, and coordinate shutdowns.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost reliability and uptime.
• Mentor and develop apprentices and junior technicians.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset and ensure compliance with risk management procedures.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory or leading‑hand experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Mechanical or electrical trade qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot plant equipment and lead maintenance teams.
• Solid understanding of preventative maintenance systems and CMMS.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with operations and external stakeholders.
