Maintenance Operations Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Operations Technician will play a key part in keeping Rio Tinto’s assets reliable and functional. Working within the maintenance management framework, you will apply work management processes to execute assigned maintenance tasks efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on operating assets and systems.
• Identify defects, record findings, and provide feedback on asset performance through the asset management system.
• Support defect elimination processes and contribute to work‑order analysis.
• Participate in asset tactics reviews to improve overall performance.
• Follow work order and job instructions, conduct post‑maintenance commissioning, and ensure clean‑up activities are completed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational maintenance of industrial assets.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Analytical mindset for contributing to maintenance analysis and process optimisation.
• Effective communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail in all tasks.
