Machinery Operator – Large Scale Cropping

About the role

Join Warakirri Cropping as a Machinery Operator and work with modern cropping equipment across a range of farm activities, from spraying and spreading to planting, harvest and post‑harvest handling. You will be part of a supportive team that values safety, teamwork and continuous learning.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor modern machinery and precision‑ag technology to support crop health and production.
• Assist with recording, storage and handling of grain during and after harvest.
• Perform daily pre‑start checks, servicing, greasing, cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Run machinery during peak seasons such as seeding and harvest, including longer working days when required.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following farm procedures and keeping equipment in good condition.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a dry‑land/broadacre cropping operation.
• Experience operating large‑scale cropping plant and equipment.
• Strong focus on safety and ability to work well in a team.
• Self‑motivated, initiative‑driven and able to contribute to team goals.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Current chemical user’s certificate or willingness to obtain one.
