Locum Plastic Surgery HMO – 1-5 June 2026

About the role

South West Healthcare is looking for a qualified Hospital Medical Officer (HMO) to provide locum plastic surgery coverage in Warrnambool, Victoria from 1 June to 5 June 2026. This short‑term assignment offers the chance to deliver a range of plastic surgical procedures in a supportive regional hospital while enjoying the coastal lifestyle of the southwest coast.

Key responsibilities

• Perform elective and emergency plastic surgery cases as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide pre‑operative assessment, postoperative care and follow‑up for surgical patients.
• Collaborate with anaesthetists, nursing staff and allied health professionals to ensure safe patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Previous experience as an HMO or in a surgical role, preferably in plastic surgery.
• Australian working rights.

Required skills

• Proficiency in performing plastic surgical procedures.
