Lecturer – Community Services (Sessional)

About the role

Acknowledge Education is seeking an experienced community services professional to join its academic team on a sessional, full‑time basis. You will teach Bachelor of Community Services students, sharing real‑world expertise and helping them develop the skills needed for successful careers in the sector.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and assessments for Bachelor of Community Services units.
• Mark student work promptly and provide detailed feedback on learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessment results.
• Identify students at risk of failure and coordinate appropriate support interventions.
• Respond to student enquiries in a timely manner.
• Engage in continuous professional development and adopt innovative teaching methodologies.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Counselling or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in community services, social work, youth work, psychology, counselling or related roles.
• Strong understanding of theory and practice within the community services sector.
• Excellent presentation and leadership abilities.
