Labourer – Construction & Maintenance

About the role

Amentum is seeking a full‑time Labourer for its Alice Springs office to support construction, maintenance and landscaping activities under the Vesta contract.

Key responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools, dig trenches, backfill holes, compact or remove earth, and mix, pour and spread concrete.
• Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers on site.
• Perform lawn‑care tasks including mowing, trimming, edging and weed management.
• Undertake general maintenance duties like patching walls, painting, door and tap replacements.
• Record and plan work tasks using computer systems and comply with safety procedures.

Required profile

• Valid HR Drivers Licence.
• Previous experience in carpentry, electrical or plumbing trades is highly regarded.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
