Junior/Mid-level Fashion Designer – Activewear

About the role

ALLFENIX, a Melbourne‑based Pilateswear and activewear brand, is looking for a hands‑on Fashion Designer to support its private‑label activewear programs. The role will translate retailer briefs into design files, manage sample progression and ensure timely delivery of collections.

Key responsibilities

• Translate retailer briefs into Illustrator CADs and garment sketches.
• Execute colour and graphic updates across existing silhouettes and seasonal programs.
• Prepare, update and maintain tech packs and design documentation.
• Adapt existing blocks to seasonal colour and graphic directions.
• Build range boards and presentation layouts.
• Prepare development‑ready artwork files for suppliers, including labels, hangtags and packaging.
• Source fabric and trim references, maintain trim cards and track colour standards.
• Communicate development updates with offshore suppliers and track sample progress.
• Participate in fit sessions and support implementation of fit revisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in fashion design, preferably activewear.
• Degree or diploma in fashion design preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Clear communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience creating garment graphics, typography layouts or repeat prints.
