ICT Technical Officer – Secure Infrastructure (NV1)

About the role

The ICT Technical Officer will support mission‑critical defence projects by building, installing and administering secure network and system infrastructure. Working within a leading Australian defence technology organisation, you will contribute directly to nationally significant outcomes while collaborating with diverse engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain networks, firewalls, routing and switching solutions.
• Install, configure and manage servers, workstations and software environments.
• Procure ICT equipment and licences, ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Provide technical support across multiple concurrent projects.
• Participate in inspection, review activities and R&D initiatives.
• Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ICT infrastructure, preferably within defence or other secure environments.
• Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Current security clearance is mandatory due to the urgent nature of the role.
