HSE Advisor

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support a range of projects across Western Australia, the Northern Territory and other locations in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. You will work within the Group Health, Safety and Environment team, providing expert guidance and ensuring compliance with safety legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site audits, drive risk‑mitigation actions and manage injury processes, including workers’ compensation claims and incident investigations.
• Provide HSE advice to project teams, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and fostering a strong safety culture.
• Participate in HSE project development, delivering technical insights that support Aurecon’s strategic safety objectives.
• Act as the first point of contact for HSE queries, offering frontline support to on‑site teams and overseeing the rollout of HSE programmes.
• Collaborate with the HSE Business Partner to address business requirements and champion safe practices across operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE roles with relevant qualifications and a proactive approach to safety innovation.
• Strong background in HSE risk‑management processes and thorough knowledge of applicable legislative frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience in incident analysis, risk assessments and implementation of corrective actions.
• Auditing qualifications are advantageous, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
