Head of Medical Oncology

About the role

Southpaws Specialty, Emergency & Referral Hospital in Melbourne is seeking a board-certified Medical Oncologist to lead and grow its oncology service as it expands across Melbourne. The role is permanent, full-time or part-time, and sits alongside the existing surgical oncology team led by Dr Stewart Ryan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the veterinary oncology service, working closely with the surgical oncology team
• Help build capabilities such as electrochemotherapy, advanced imaging and digital integration
• Work with a network of residents, interns and referring clinicians
• Contribute to the hospital's professional development programs

Required profile

• Board-certified in oncology (ACVIM, ECVIM, RCVS or ANZCVS) and eligible for registration as a Medical Oncology Specialist in Victoria
• Board-eligible candidates scheduled to sit exams are also welcomed
