About the role

This position creates high‑impact still and animated graphics for NBN News, helping to bring stories to life on premier news broadcasts. The role blends creative storytelling with fast‑paced television production, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality visual experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver high‑quality graphics under tight live‑television deadlines.
• Use industry‑standard software to produce both still and animated assets.
• Collaborate with producers and directors, offering innovative design ideas.
• Maintain clear communication with newsroom and control‑room teams.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and report system faults to engineering.
• Support a safe, collaborative, and positive team environment across all shifts.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in a fast‑paced TV or media environment.
• Calm, confident approach and ability to thrive under high‑pressure, live‑broadcast conditions.
• Genuine passion for design, television, news, and current affairs.
• Strong technical literacy and solid understanding of computer design systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and time‑management skills.
• Flexibility to work a varied roster, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
