General Practitioner – Full-time, Kingaroy

About the role

We are seeking a full-time General Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at Haly Health & Skin Medical Centre in Kingaroy, Queensland. The role involves delivering comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, focusing on both acute and chronic health needs within a supportive community environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, routine examinations and minor procedures.
• Order, interpret and act on investigations and diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement individualized management plans for acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide preventive health services, including immunisations and health education.
• Perform medication reviews and coordinate chronic disease management with nursing and allied health staff.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date clinical records.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance.
• Offer clinical guidance to team members and participate in ongoing professional development.

Required profile

• Strong clinical foundation in medicine and primary care with experience managing a broad range of conditions.
• Competence in family medicine across the lifespan and ability to serve diverse communities.
• Effective collaboration with nursing and other clinical staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Commitment to continuous training, teaching, supervision or mentoring where relevant.
• Current medical degree and appropriate registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian medical board.
• Experience in general practice or community health, preferably in regional or rural settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on cultural safety, inclusivity and patient education.
• Strong organisational abilities, professional integrity and capacity to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
