Goodwork
Job description
About the role
An Australian financial services platform is hiring a remote Fund Administrator for its venture and angel investing business. The role owns the operational and compliance backbone of the Limited Partner (LP) onboarding and investor management process, acting as the first line of review on investor documents and communications and following deals through to signed and reconciled. It sits in the CEO's front-facing team, reporting to the Head of Funds & Syndicates.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and triage LP and syndicate inboxes, send investor updates, route queries and manage forwarded LP requests, including document attachment requests
- Review wholesale certificates against compliance checklists and investor entity documentation, move verified records to reviewed status and follow up on missing information
- Clear the backlog of unreviewed accounts while handling 100-200 new ones per month, and monitor the 2-year renewal cycle of wholesale certificates
- Investigate unresolved LP cases raised by syndicate leads and confirm onboarding status and investor-syndicate linkage
- Generate investment schedules, push drafts for signature and follow up until signed, then reconcile investor and investment records and bank transactions
- Resolve one-off LP requests, issue holding documents and flag compliance concerns for senior review
- Attend weekly closing WIP meetings, track open deal status and coordinate with the Head of Funds & Syndicates and the CFO
- Help build SOPs, process improvements and guidebooks as the role matures
Required profile
- 3-5 years of experience as a Fund Administrator, Auditor, Accountant, Corporate Paralegal or similar, ideally in a regulated financial or legal environment
- Able to work independently alongside a senior team
- Exceptional written communication, comfortable with video calls when needed
- High attention to detail, proactive and accountable, and eager to learn new tools and processes
Required skills
- Experience reviewing financial documentation and assessing compliance against a checklist
- Working in regulated environments where accuracy and process integrity are non-negotiable
- Basic accounting and reconciliation, including in a ledger tool
- Familiarity with investor onboarding workflows, KYC processes or document verification
