Flood Engineer – Water Resources

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Flood Engineer with a focus on water resources to join its NSW Hydrology & Flooding team in Sydney/Newcastle. You will work on flood assessment for major transport, land, water infrastructure, dam and energy projects across NSW and the ACT, collaborating with internal disciplines, clients and public authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver flood assessments for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical solutions to client and authority queries.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to develop optimal engineering designs.
• Contribute to project delivery in transport, water resources, energy and advisory markets.

Required profile

• Qualified engineer with experience in hydrology and flood engineering.
• Ability to work on projects of varying scales within NSW/ACT.
• Strong communication skills for client and stakeholder interaction.
