Financial Controller – 6‑Month Contract (Potential Permanent)

About the role

This 6‑month contract opportunity is with a leading Queensland healthcare provider. Reporting to the General Manager of Finance, you will lead a large finance team, oversee multi‑entity reporting, and support a significant finance transformation agenda with the potential for a permanent role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑of‑month and year‑end reporting processes across multiple entities.
• Manage and mentor a large finance team, building capability and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Drive process improvement, automation and reporting efficiencies.
• Partner with operational leaders to provide commercially relevant financial insights.
• Manage external audit relationships and technical accounting matters.
• Improve reporting frameworks, controls and data integrity across the group.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified finance professional.
• Proven experience leading large teams in complex, multi‑entity organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to support finance transformation initiatives.
• Available to start on short notice.
