Financial Accountant

About the role

Harrison.ai builds diagnostic AI tools that help clinicians deliver earlier, more accurate diagnoses. This Financial Accountant joins a small finance and tax team, helping with the month-end reconciliation cycle across multiple entities and currencies and partially supporting the tax function with BAS, GST and ad hoc compliance work. It is a hands-on role with exposure to multi-jurisdiction tax.

Key responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle month-end reconciliations, including bank, AR, AP, accruals, prepayments, GST and intercompany accounts, and resolve reconciling items promptly
• Post general ledger journals with working papers and investigate and clear reconciling items
• Support external audits, mid-year reviews and statutory compliance requests with documented schedules
• Review and process employee expense claims and corporate card transactions, reconcile monthly card statements and ensure GST and receipt documentation is compliant
• Administer the expense management system (users, permissions, support) and recommend workflow or policy improvements
• Assist with quarterly BAS workpapers, GST reconciliations, tax journal coding and ad hoc tax schedules and data extracts

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Accounting
• 1-3 years in a finance-operations role, ideally in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment
• Nice to have: CA or CPA part-qualified, SaaS exposure, cloud ERP experience, healthcare or regulated industry experience

Required skills

• Working knowledge of a mid-market ERP/accounting system
• Strong Excel/Sheets (lookups, pivots, reconciliations)
• High attention to detail
