Facilities Officer

About the role

NAISDA is seeking a proactive Facilities Officer to support the maintenance of its campus. You will help keep the environment welcoming, safe, and operational, contributing to the organisation’s purpose‑led work in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performing arts education.

Key responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment across the campus.
• Ensure all spaces are welcoming, well‑maintained and comply with safety and operational standards.

Required profile

• Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander under the NSW Anti‑Discrimination Act exemption.
• Experience in building maintenance, equipment monitoring or a related field.
• Ability to organise, prioritise work and solve problems.
• Relevant trade qualifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of safety and sustainability requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to engage respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Collaborative team approach.
• Current NSW driver’s licence.
