Event Designer

About the role

SUBVRT Experience Studio is seeking a talented Event Designer to join its Creative Department in Sydney. You will work directly under the Creative Director, contributing to concept development, design execution, and on‑site delivery for live events, spatial projects, and large‑scale productions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce design work across experiential, spatial, and graphic formats, including concept visuals, mood boards, spatial layouts, renders, and event collateral.
• Execute briefs with accuracy, craft, and proactive creative input.
• Contribute to ideation sessions and creative reviews, bringing valuable references and ideas.
• Support project delivery by managing your own design workstreams and meeting timelines.
• Attend site visits and production walkthroughs to ensure design intent is realised on‑ground.
• Help create SUBVRT’s marketing materials, case studies, and brand assets.
• Maintain organised files and asset libraries for team accessibility.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience in a design role focused on experiential, spatial, or event design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating solid 2D and 3D fundamentals and a developing creative point of view.
• Agency or studio experience working on client briefs.
• Exposure to spatial or environmental design (interior, architectural, set design, etc.).

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• SketchUp and Vectorworks (primary CAD and spatial design tools).
• Basic rendering knowledge; V‑Ray or Lumion experience is a plus.
