Emergency Medicine Registrar (ACEM Trainee) – Perth

About the role

The position is for an Emergency Medicine Registrar (ACEM trainee) in a high‑volume, ACEM‑accredited tertiary emergency department in metropolitan Perth. You will join a supportive senior team and benefit from protected teaching time while delivering acute care to a mixed adult and paediatric caseload.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage acute adult and paediatric presentations in a busy ED.
• Utilise dedicated paediatric assessment/treatment area and minor injury/illness zone.
• Perform procedural sedation and other emergency procedures in the on‑site procedure room.
• Collaborate with radiology, pathology and inpatient specialty services for timely investigations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, teaching sessions and quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• General or provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Prior experience working in an Emergency Department setting.
• Commitment to team‑based care, continuous learning and professional development.
• Willingness and ability to relocate to Perth or reliably commute (relocation assistance provided).
