About the role
The Educator Development Project Lead is a senior specialist position within the Professional Educator College, responsible for shaping and delivering major VET workforce initiatives, educator capability frameworks and sector‑wide development strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and review VET workforce projects aligned with organisational, government and sector priorities.
- Develop and roll out educator capability frameworks, workforce pathways and delivery models with system‑wide impact.
- Provide authoritative advice to senior leaders, governance groups and external partners on capability and project priorities.
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex initiatives from mobilisation through to business‑as‑usual.
- Establish project structures, milestones, reporting mechanisms, risk controls and decision‑making processes.
- Manage project resources, external partners and program portfolios.
- Conduct research, evidence synthesis and data analysis to inform strategy and design.
- Drive adoption and scaling of organisational strategies across internal teams, partner organisations and the Victorian TAFE sector.
Required profile
- Highly motivated leader with proven ability to manage performance, develop staff and achieve team outcomes.
- Relevant degree and postgraduate qualification, or equivalent combination of extensive management, leadership and specialist expertise in education, learning design, organisational development, workforce development or project/program management.
- Extensive experience leading complex education, workforce development or organisational reform initiatives.
- Specialist expertise in educator capability, VET workforce development, learning design or organisational development.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing major strategies, frameworks, policies, operating models or capability pathways.

- Annual salary of $110,808 plus superannuation.
