Data Analyst – Associate (Hybrid, Sydney)

About the role

EY is looking for a Data Analyst – Associate to join its multidisciplinary team in Sydney. The role focuses on collecting, combining and exploring data to generate insights that support client decision‑making across accounting, finance, governance and regulatory domains.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional analytics and data‑driven insights to clients.
• Design, build and interpret complex data analytics solutions.
• Provide client‑focused service, helping organisations understand the value of data analytics.
• Explore new ways of delivering services using technology to improve efficiency.
• Perform advanced financial analysis and reporting in complex business areas.
• Develop business acumen and design solutions that address emerging client issues.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Business, IT or a STEM discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in a data and analytics role.
• Advanced proficiency in programming, analytics and data visualisation.
• Excellent communication skills and an innovative mindset.
