Cyber Security Technical Analyst – Essential 8 Uplift

About the role

We are seeking a highly technical Cyber Security Analyst to join an Essential 8 uplift program within a complex enterprise environment. The role offers immediate impact, allowing you to own key cyber security streams and contribute to compliance and risk reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage OS patch management across the enterprise.
• Oversee application patch management and application control processes.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project and delivery teams.
• Assist with remediation planning, implementation coordination, and compliance uplift activities.
• Analyse infrastructure environments to identify cyber security risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of identity platforms and authentication mechanisms, including Active Directory, Entra ID, and Single Sign‑On (SSO).
• Knowledge of vulnerability management principles, risk prioritisation, and asset criticality.
• Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and system architecture concepts to identify valuable security events.
• Solid grasp of identity and access management frameworks, privileged access structures, and user permissions.
• Ability to work comfortably within technical infrastructure and cyber security teams while supporting compliance initiatives.
