Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

The Cyber Security Analyst will join ASX’s Security Operations Centre, supporting the monitoring, detection and response to cyber threats across Australia’s leading securities exchange. You will work within a specialist team that safeguards critical market infrastructure and ensures a resilient, trustworthy trading environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial analysis of security events and incidents to identify root cause, impact and remediation actions.
• Conduct proactive threat‑hunting activities to uncover hidden threats within ASX systems and networks.
• Execute full incident‑response cycles, including containment, eradication and recovery.
• Gather and analyse threat intelligence from multiple sources to spot emerging attack vectors.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve detection tools, processes and playbooks.
• Maintain and enhance security documentation such as policies, procedures, metrics, use cases and playbooks.

Required profile

• Experience working in a Security Operations Centre or similar cyber‑security environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex security incidents.
• Excellent communication skills to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to staying current with the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
