Configuration Manager

About the role

The Configuration Manager supports program delivery teams by ensuring that requirements, design outputs and physical assets remain controlled, traceable and auditable throughout the program lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Program Configuration Management Plan, procedures, templates and work instructions.
• Define configuration items, baselines and status accounting requirements.
• Support configuration control of program requirements, architectures, interfaces and design deliverables.
• Maintain end‑to‑end traceability between requirements, architectures and design solutions and generate traceability reports.
• Manage change control for all baselined artefacts, monitor change proposals and ensure approved changes are correctly implemented.
• Maintain configuration control of program documentation, ensuring versioning, review, approval, distribution and archiving.

Required profile

• Experience in configuration management within defence, infrastructure or complex engineering environments.
• Understanding of systems engineering and requirements management principles.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain required security clearances.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organisational and stakeholder management capability.

Required skills

• IBM Rational DOORS NG (requirements management tool).
• Baseline management, change control processes and audit experience.
• Configuration identification, status accounting and reporting.
