About the role

The Commissionaire is the first point of contact for guests at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, delivering a warm, refined welcome that reflects the hotel’s French Art de Vivre and Sydney’s vibrant waterfront culture. You will anticipate guest needs, coordinate with fellow ambassadors, and ensure every arrival feels personal and effortless.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an elegant and instinctive welcome to all guests, creating a lasting first impression.
• Anticipate and respond to guest needs, either directly or through coordination with other team members.
• Facilitate smooth arrivals and manage bespoke guest arrangements.
• Collaborate closely with the valet and bell desk teams to handle vehicles with utmost care and maintain personal settings.
• Safeguard guest belongings and ensure discreet, meticulous service throughout the stay.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or premium service environment.
• Natural ability to create a refined and welcoming first impression.
• Highly organised, thriving in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.
• Confidence in managing multiple tasks and delivering consistent service quality.
