Civil Engineer – Energy (Infrastructure)

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its Energy team in Sydney. You will contribute to the design and delivery of carbon‑neutral, high‑quality substation and renewable‑energy infrastructure, supporting clients across large‑scale HV projects.

Key responsibilities

• Concept and detailed design of HV infrastructure, including substations, BESS, solar and wind projects.
• Design of earthworks, roads, drainage, foundations and layout plans.
• Produce detailed civil engineering designs, reports, technical specifications and documentation.
• Utilise civil design software such as Civil3D and 12D.
• Develop knowledge of industry standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Support digital engineering initiatives and drive innovation for efficiency.

Required profile

• Passion for re‑imagining problems and continuous learning.
• Broad experience in civil engineering, preferably within energy or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
