Casual Academic Positions – Law School

About the role

Western Sydney University’s School of Law is inviting experienced academics, legal practitioners and emerging educators to join its Casual Academic Talent Pool. Successful candidates will support undergraduate and Juris Doctor programmes across multiple campuses and online.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tutorials, seminars and online learning activities.
• Support curriculum delivery for Private Law, Public Law, Evidence, Procedure, Ethics and elective subjects.
• Mark assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Contribute to student engagement initiatives such as mooting and experiential learning.
• Assist with the development and delivery of high‑quality legal education.

Required profile

• Qualifications in Law or a related discipline; PhD candidates are welcome.
• Professional legal experience and/or tertiary teaching experience.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within teaching teams.
• Commitment to student engagement and supportive learning environments.
