Business Services Manager – Accounting & Advisory

About the role

This Business Services Manager position sits within a well‑established Sydney‑based accounting and advisory firm that serves private clients, family groups, SMEs and high‑net‑worth individuals. Working closely with partners and senior leadership, you will lead client engagements, mentor junior staff and deliver strategic tax and business advisory solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of business services and tax clients, including complex group structures.
• Review financial statements, tax returns and compliance work to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide proactive tax planning, structuring and business growth advice.
• Oversee workflow, deadlines and team performance to meet service standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Collaborate with partners on strategic advisory engagements.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• 6+ years of experience in public practice accounting.
• Strong background in business services and tax advisory.
• Proven experience managing client relationships and reviewing work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive and client‑focused.
