Business Improvement Manager

About the role

ANZ Banking Group is seeking a Business Improvement Manager to lead end‑to‑end workforce transformation initiatives within the Talent & Culture organisation. The role will work closely with the Organisation Design & Improvement (OD&I) team and other T&C stakeholders to optimise processes, governance and ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Map and analyse current state processes and ways of working across the workforce transformation delivery value chain.
• Identify pain points, inefficiencies and hand‑off issues by collaborating with OD&I leadership, practitioners and T&C process re‑engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain a backlog of improvement opportunities, assess and prioritise them based on expected benefits.
• Plan, design and implement future‑state initiatives that enhance speed, quality, compliance and stakeholder experience.
• Mobilise cross‑functional stakeholders, manage project delivery and report progress and blockers to senior leadership.
• Ensure robust governance, risk management and control frameworks for all transformation activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large‑scale process optimisation or workforce transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives from concept to implementation.
• Experience within a banking or financial services environment is advantageous.
