Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core, Proficient or Advanced)

About the role

Outcomes Connect Australia (OCA), a provider of positive behaviour support services, is hiring an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner in Mullumbimby. You will help people living with disability improve their quality of life, reduce behaviours of concern and promote their rights, working with a team of practitioners, a team leader and clinical advisors. You must live in Mullumbimby or within 30 minutes' drive.

Key responsibilities

• Work with NDIS participants, their families and carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning
• Set meaningful goals and practical strategies using the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, eliminating restrictive practices in the home and community
• Develop, deliver and evaluate evidence-based support plans so that each reflects the client's goals, passions and strengths
• Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of family, carers and friends supporting the client

Required profile

• Current registration with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core, Proficient or Advanced)
• Experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner for a registered provider of positive behaviour support
• Degree-level qualification relevant to supporting people with behaviours of concern (highly preferred)
• Current driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
