Banking Payment Lead

About the role

KPMG is expanding its Payments Practice within Technology Advisory and seeks a senior leader to shape the go‑to‑market strategy, drive complex advisory engagements, and build a high‑performing team serving banking and financial services clients.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the practice’s payments and broader banking proposition.
• Lead client engagements covering payments strategy, infrastructure modernisation, digital assets and emerging payment models.
• Develop new business opportunities and nurture relationships with C‑suite stakeholders across issuers, acquirers, schemes and banks.
• Recruit, mentor and manage a multidisciplinary advisory team.
• Provide thought leadership on tokenisation, stablecoins, CBDCs and embedded finance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in payments, banking or financial services consulting.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive practice growth.
• Strong understanding of digital assets, tokenisation, stablecoins and CBDC trends.
• Hands‑on advisory experience with a focus on both business and technology perspectives.
